ESCRITURA CREATIVA: PARTE 2
PERFECT
What does this word mean to you?
Is that a word you use often?
Can you relate any other words to this one?
Think about this during 1-3 minutes.
A pen would be perfect. It's the result of years, decades, even centuries of evolution. It makes life easier for us and, in its own way, it's practically unbeatable.
In this session we will think and write about everyday objects:
- They have to be objects that we use very often.
- They have to be useful and have a clear influence on our daily life.
- They have to be objects that do not need electricity to function.
Love and hate - in a broad sense of both terms - are human emotions, but their receivers are not always human. Everyone has had the experience of loving or hating an object. There are many reasons that can lead us to experience such feelings.
Think of reasons to love or hate an object. There are hundreds of reasons: we love an object because it is useful, elegant, beautiful, light, clean... We hate it because it's dirty, ugly, difficult to use, cumbersome...
Choose two of the objects you have thought about before, and write a love letter for one, and a hate letter for the other.
In the love letter, you can respect the typical conventions of the traditional love letter: the headline, the farewell, the love topics. To write the hate letter you just have to reverse it.
Keep in mind the necessary grammatical structures and vocabulary: verbs like "I love", "I want", "I hate", "I don't want", "I don't like", "I'm horrified", "I'm upset"...
Write the two letters, using for each one 100 - 150 words.
